We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team, to provide a first class support function to the financial planning teams nationwide by way of delivering third party client policy information in an agreed format, both accurately and within SLAs. Ensure we engage with internal clients and external providers in a professional, compliant and efficient manner. Support Analysts in completion of their responsibilities to include mentoring and monthly quality checks.

 

As Script Specialist your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all Operational deliverables are actioned on time in accordance with SLAs, agreed quality standards, regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support Manager in supervision of workflow
  • Provide monthly MI and regular feedback to Manager on team performance against SLAs and Skills Matrix.
  • Coach, support, train and mentor Analysts, where necessary, to improve skills to ensure tasks are carried out accurately and in line with good practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee change implementation projects.
  • Investigate and respond to any technical queries received.
  • Support team manager during meetings / presentations.
  • Assist in defining and delivering initiatives that achieve and sustain continuous improvements in business performance, as measured in terms of process effectiveness, efficiency and service levels.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal clients, colleagues and third parties.
  • Provide an excellent telephone-based service to internal and external clients and third parties.
  • Maintain core systems ensuring all tasks are completed in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Contact and liaise with relevant product providers/third parties to obtain accurate policy information for report scripts and valuations.
  • Effective challenging if information provided appears incorrect.
  • Accurate completion of script templates and Xplan updates.
  • Prioritise workload to ensure all activities are timely, compliant and conducted in a manner that will meet agreed performance standards.
  • Complete project related activities or general tasks as instructed by the Manager or Head of Operations, Leeds and follow through to completion dealing with any queries that arise from these activities.
  • Assess client file documents in accordance with compliance requirements, identifying and correcting remedial actions as required.
  • Be aware and act upon any compliance, risk and quality issues.
  • You may be asked to undertake other duties to support the workload across the teams within Leeds Operations. Training will be provided as appropriate.

 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Practical experience within the financial services support environment
  • Excellent standard of education to include Maths and English
  • Attained or working towards CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
  • Good understanding of financial planning, investment processes and discretionary investment management including knowledge of pensions, offshore bonds, ISAs including regulations – SME level.
  • Positive attitude with excellent problem solving skills
  • Diligent and conscientious with strong work ethics
  • Good analytical skills; proficient in core Microsoft Office systems; Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Team orientated with a flexible work approach
  • Ability to work within deadline with good prioritisation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to include professional telephone manner
  • Knowledge of critical software, including IRESS Xplan and wealth management platforms
