Do you have three years working as a paraplanner?

Are you looking for an opportunity where over time and with training you will have your own clients?

Do you have a financial diploma and are looking to achieve Chartered Level?

Would you like to work with a manager who lets you crack on in an environment that encourages you to think, work hard and feel that you are part of something? In her words, she wants you to think with the end in mind………

If so – this role has been made for you! Tilney are looking for a paraplanner to join our supportive team in Birmingham. If you describe yourself as someone who embraces challenges, being kept on your toes, this role gives you this and will support your development along the way.

You are currently in a similar paraplanner role where you might have strategically (or by happy accident!) found your specialism and are looking at spreading your wings – attending clients visits, sitting alongside an FP who relies on his paraplanner to be meticulous, detail focused and used to being a detective! By that we mean you are happy asking intelligent and technical questions.

This team works a little bit differently, each client is personally assigned a PA, Paraplanner and Adviser depending on their needs, so brilliantly for you, you will work with the entire team on different projects, making this role varied, interesting and let’s be honest, full on!

Communicating – you love it and are good at it, notably those more technical bits of research that support the work of FP’s and advisors. You are accurate at all times and if needed are able to push back to ensure clients receive the very best support and service at all times. Some reports are 100’s of pages long so to support that level of concentration, you can work from home.

Energy – you have plenty of it and want to work in an environment that fosters this where working both at pace and with precision is business critical!

Detail – you are able to assimilate information quickly and prepare it in such a way that allows colleagues to work more efficiently and clients to understand easily the support we provide!

Risk – does what it says on the tin. We need paraplanners who are able to prepare risk reviews and ensure everything is compliant. This role will also lean on your ability to connect the dots, support with complex pensions and take a helicopter view when needed.

If this sounds like you and you want to hear more then please cast your eye over the following as this really is the level of experience we need:

  • At least three years’ in a paraplanning role with a specialism
  • Diploma qualified, with the drive to be on your way to chartered level
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to work under pressure

Here is what we will give you:

  • 26 days holiday entitlement + bank holidays
  • Performance related bonus scheme
  • Group Life Assurance
  • Company Pension
  • Income Protection Insurance
  • Flexible benefits package
